After remodeling many vacant and abandoned homes in the Brooks Landing area, we were slowly bringing life into this forgotten neighborhood. As more and more people started moving into the area, they started looking for and expecting amenities. At the time residents of the neighborhood could not even get a pizza delivered.
The lucky seven,was one of the worst minimarts in the City of Rochester. It was run down, dirty, and a beacon for all kinds of illegal activity and at times violence. Many residents and investors chronically complained about the lucky seven. Rather than join their focus on the problem, we focused on coming up with solutions. Rather than let the Lucky Seve bring down the area, we wanted to find a way to make it add to the enjoyment of all our residents. We decided to buy the building….and close Lucky Seven. While eliminating a chronic source of negativity for the area was a welcome step in the right direction, it was not enough. We needed to create a new beacon….a positive beacon. A beacon that would attract new residents and families to the area, and give long time residents a local place to come for dinner and drinks.After jumping through countless zoning and building code regulations, we turned the Luck Seven Mini Mart into Tin Roof bar and Grill. |
The success of the Tin Roof had a tangible impact in terms of the demand for our homes and the rents we could charge, but more importantly, it had the intangible impact of changing the way people viewed and felt about the area. Long time residents took pride in staying in and new residents took pride in moving to Brooks Landing.
We have passed on the baton in Brooks Landing to new residents and investors to keep the momentum going. We are now and will always be looking for new opportunities to help trigger positive change.
We want every community that we work in to feel our belief about what is possible. If it is not impossible, it is inevitable. We look forward to bringing our positive attitude and problem solving efforts to many communities throughout Florida. Communities that residents will take pride in calling home and that we and our fantastic team can take pride in guiding.
